Case Studies
Case studies are a vital component of the study of geography. Students are required to discuss or evaluate in a way that shows conceptual insight into the context of the expected knowledge and understanding. The application of geographic skills allow for the synthesis of knowledge and ideas, and bring understanding of concepts and contexts together through the study of specified or appropriate content.
At NIST most case studies will be focused on the NIST G8 which are 8 countries where most of our case study examples are from. These are high lighted in red tags on the map below. Countries with a blue tag are additional countries where relevant case studies occur. You can click on the map tags to find what area of the geography subject guide is relevant to each country
