Geography focuses on the interactions between individuals, societies and physical processes in both time and space. The course explores contemporary issues from local to global scales and asks students to connect knowledge, concepts, evidence and geographic skills.
Geographic perspectives—global change provides the foundation for the key global issues of our time. The original AdornGeo core is organised in sequence: Changing Population; Global Climate—Vulnerability & Resilience; and Global Resource Consumption & Security.
The course is underpinned by four key concepts—place, process, power and possibility—with scale and spatial interactions acting as organising concepts.
