External assessment: 4 hours 30 minutes, 80%.

  • Paper 1 — 2 hours 15 minutes — 35% — Geographic themes: three options (60 marks)
  • Paper 2 — 1 hour 15 minutes — 25% — Geographic perspectives: global change (50 marks)
  • Paper 3 — 1 hour — 20% — Geographic perspectives: global interactions (28 marks)
  • Internal assessment — 20 hours — 20% — fieldwork and a written report (25 marks)
